Dimitrios graduated from the Department of Production Engineering and Management from Technical University of Crete (1990) and PhD thesis in Production Engineering and Management dpt. of Democritus University of Thrace (2009).
Working from 1991 till 2005 as a Production and Management Engineer in several industries and companies. From March of 2005 till Jun of 2019 was working as a Laboratory Teaching Staff in the Electrical and Computer Engineering dpt. of Democritus University of Thrace.
He has participated in more than 30 scientific papers, in which some of them are in international scientific journals, in the field of studding influence in exhaust gas emissions of Internal Combustion Engines using alternative fuels (mixture of vegetable oils as fuel).
Teaching in several fields in the Electrical and Computer Engineering dpt. and Production Engineering and Management dpt. in Democritus University of Thrace and also in Technological Educational Institute of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (Kavala) and lately in Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki in the Dept. of Automotive Engineering.
His research interests involve, among others, air pollution from "burning" biofuels in internal combustion engines, design and manufacturing parts of internal combustion engines to reduce gas emissions, additive manufacturing (lately).
