LAT has been responsible for the development of COPERT software on behalf of the European Environment Agency.

The software (currently COPERT III version) provides the methodology and the emission factors for the compilation of an emission inventory at national or urban level. Additionally the laboratory is responsible for the development of the road transport module of the TRENDS activity on behalf of EUROSTAT and the European Environment Agency.

LAT possesses one workstation, approximately 25 modern PC's connected to the local Intranet, 5 network printers and other necessary peripherals to cover the computational needs of the Laboratory.
